ARTE SALVA VIDA

SOCIAL PROJECT FOR CHILDREN

Hello, how are you?

My name is Luciano Roberto Teixara. I was born in Recife, a region in Pernambuco, Brazil. I grew up in modest circumstances, but no matter how bad our financial situation was, our mother always taught us to help others in need. Since childhood, I have been dreaming about becoming a writer. Today, I write stories which deal with the issue of healthy nutrition in a playful way.

I have been an artist since I was a child. I draw pictures and I have devoted myself to decorating classrooms and children’s rooms, building giant dolls, organising activities and entertaining children at parties and puppet theatre. I also volunteer in teaching Capoeira at the Open School programme of the UNESCO.

I use the puppet theatre for staging stories. I have learned playing puppet theatre at the Babuschka Theatre in Eppingen, Germany, where I also received the qualification as a puppeteer. Luckily, I was supported by a foundation from North-East Brasil (CECOSNE). That is where everything started. Art has helped me explore the world and broaden my horizon.  In the past two years, I wrote several books about healthy nutrition which are illustrated with pictures of self-carved fruit and vegetables.

My aim now is to sell my art, so that the ARTE SALVA VIDA project (art saves lives) can settle down and succeed. Only then, the project can secure a better future for children in need through creative education and educational support.

With the Project ARTE SALVA VIDA i would like to support an Organisation in Recife, Brasil helping children at risk to have a Perspective.

The campaign consists of an online sale of educational and leisure media about a healthy diet, aimed at children between 3 and 12 years.
